Katie Melua headlines with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra at Party in The Park
The "pre-show" entertainment saw up-and-coming local singer Katie Bernstein and ex-Coronation Street bad-boy Jonathan Wrather, who played Joe Carter in the soap. The pair performed a duet of the 30s classic Well, Did You Evah. Cole Page, Manchester's "king of swing", also wowed the crowd with his 17-piece orchestra playing classic songs such as Fly Me To The Moon, with Revolution Dancers Keith & Janey accompanying many of the numbers.
