About Us & Our Supported Charity: ‘Parkinson’s UK’
Revolution Dance was launched in May 2006 in the Knutsford Civic Centre, and is run by Keith Davies, who previously co - launched the Blackpool Competition at the Winter Gardens & the Tower Ballroom ‘Chance 2 Dance’ in 1999, with over 1,500 very happy dancers, competing and enjoying the 1st dance weekender in the Northwest.
Keith tried Modern Jive, starting with Ceroc for the first time in August 1995, and has progressed taking the independent route through the ranks, from student to teacher to performer and has enjoyed dancing in shows with Katie Melua and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, and on ‘Alisha Dixon’s - Street Dance Stars’, as well as teaching all over the UK & Europe, he has more recently worked with ‘Burn the Floor’ & USA’s ‘Dancing with the Stars’ dancers Patrick & Sharna See the video clip on our ‘Freestyles’ page.
Keith’s philosophy on learning, is that it has to be fun, modern jive is a social dance, where people of all ages, & backgrounds, meet to socialise, so although he teaches modern jive with real enthusiasm, you cannot help but get caught up in his love for the dance, which creates great fun nights.
So if you want to learn something new, keep fit without it feeling like hard work, or meet new people, a Revolution Night will be just the thing for you & remember, almost 100% of Modern Jiver’s had no formal dance experience before they went to their first class, so you’ll never be alone if it’s your first time or you have 2 left feet...
Modern Jive is a fun and easy to learn partner dance, and is known all over the UK under different guises such as Ceroc (Company name, not a dance), Blitz, LeRoc, Salsa Jive, Mo Jive plus many other names.
You can dance at the following venues, whether absolute beginner or an advanced dancer with Keith and his team.

Our supported charity is ‘Parkinson’s UK’
This is mainly because my mum suffers with Parkinson’s & I have seen her slowly changing over the years and although she has fought it every inch of the way, paying for private physiotherapy to help keep her mobility, she has unfortunately succumbed to greater tremors.
After looking into the illness, we realised that it effects so many people & of all ages, yet appears to be underfunded, compared to many other charities.

Quote: ‘Just thought I'd drop you a line to say how much really enjoyed the Freestyle last night. It was the first time I have been there and I was very impressed with the venue, music, friendliness of staff and the standard of dancing, loved the fun Jive Class too. Tea cake & coffee was a nice touch also.
Only one complaint.... pity there isn't one every week!!’
