Revolution
Having Danced French Jive for around 12 years, starting with Ceroc (Ceroc is a registered trademark of Ceroc Enterprises Ltd) and is a form of Modern Jive, moving onto Blitz and then trying many of the other Modern Jive Companies, such as LeRoc, we decided to try something for ourselves, and in 2000 Co-Launched what is now deemed to be one of the largest and finest Dance Competitions in the UK; ‘Chance 2 Dance’ in Blackpool. Since then we have been regulars teaching all over Europe in countries such as; France, Spain, Italy and Turkey besides all over the UK, almost Lands End to John O Groats!
In 2004, 2005 and 2006 we appeared at the Opera House Manchester in various Swing Shows, often besides Cole Page, one of the UK’s Premier Swing Singers, being a regular on TV & Stage. In 2006 we Produced & Directed the Theatre Show ‘Strictly Not Ballroom’ to a sell out audience and in late 2006, performed at the BBC Proms in the Park, along side the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and Katie Melua.
It was in May 2006 that we Launched ‘Revolution Dance’, an Independent Dance Company, which we know, will become the yard stick for the Jive World.
We have enjoyed dance so much over the past 12 years we will do our utmost to ensure you will also find pleasure on the dance floor!
We will continue to be pioneers in the Jive World, bringing you that little bit extra, always check out our News Section, see across.

This is dance, but not as you know it!
We take French Jive, you may know it LeRoc, LeJive, Blitz, MoJive etc and Fuse it with Blues, Swing, Tango, Salsa, Cha Cha and lots more. We put fun back into Partner Dancing, with a hint of Dance from the famous film ‘Dirty Dancing’.
This is Partner Dancing, where you needn’t worry about having a partner. We welcome, Singles, Couples, and groups.
If you have, no dance or limited experience...
Each week we start off with a basic class, for New Starters & Improvers, Moving onto Freestyle, giving you time to practice. Then in part two, we will break down the move, introducing musicality, which helps you understand how to best use your move with different types of music, some call it styling.
Oh I love to partner dance!
You’re in luck then. One of only a hand full of dance companies, that not only teach new & fused dance patterns, but also teach how to make the move your own, getting ownership rather than a mechanical movement. We do this via Intermediate & Advanced lessons, coaching Style, Musicality including the Rolling Count along with centring. Proven techniques from ‘Skippy Blair’ a Dance God, from America. www.swingworld.com/articles
Then the unexpected...
We also teach the unexpected, so look out for our unusual dance nights, when our lessons may be geared towards, spinning or footwork. We also have a separate room to whisk 20 30 willing dancers off for an impromptu lesson, for the more adventurous dancer! Is it a class or is it a workshop? You decide.
